Every emotion is created by a thought. When we are in the present moment, we are not thinking. We are spontaneously and optimally expressing our devine nature; our wisdom, kindness, compassion, love, acceptance, peace and so on. We are only experiencing the positive emotions associated with our true nature when we reflect back on our experience and label it, assign thoughts to describe past behavior. We never think we’re brilliantly creative while we’re being “brilliantly creative”. The thought that we were “brilliantly creative” only occurs when we reflect back on and label our past behavior.
The more aware we are of our thoughts, the more they slow down. The more our thoughts slow down the more we experience the “eternal present” between the thoughts. When the thoughts stop we find ourself in the “zone”, optimally spontaneously expressing our devine nature.
